  1. Does the light on the 3M™ WorkTunes™ Wireless Hearing Protector with Bluetooth® Technology stay on while listening?

Yes, the Bluetooth® light will stay on while it is in use.

  1. How does the dB rating system work, and what rating does the 3M™ WorkTunes™ Headset have?

The noise reduction rating (NRR) is a single-number method that describes the overall sound reduction across frequencies (attenuation) of an HPD in decibels (dB) based on a laboratory test.

The higher the NRR, the more noise the hearing protector can block out. As the number increases, the more protection there is in the headset. For example, if one headset has a noise reduction of 20dB and another has 24dB, the one with the NRR of 24dB will help provide better hearing protection.

3M™ WorkTunes™ Wireless Hearing Protector with Bluetooth® Technology & AM/FM Radio, as well as 3M™ WorkTunes™ Connect Hearing Protector with Bluetooth® Technology and 3M™ WorkTunes™ Connect Wireless Hearing Protector with Bluetooth® Technology have a NRR of 24dB when worn properly.

  1. How far can I go from my device before Bluetooth® disconnects?

You can go about 20 feet or 6 metres away from your device before the Bluetooth® will disconnect. We suggest that you keep your Bluetooth® device on you if possible to ensure the connection remains intact.

  1. What is the power class?

The 3M™ WorkTunes™ Headsets are considered Class 2, which means that there is no risk of fire or shock.
